Roses reward a little extra attention with days of extra beauty. When your roses arrive, trim about one inch from each stem at a 45-degree angle under running water if possible, then place them in a clean vase with cool water and the included flower food. Strip away any leaves that would sit below the waterline so the water stays clean and clear. Refresh the water every one to two days, re-cut the stems each time, and keep the vase topped up, as roses drink quite a lot. Display them somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight, away from drafts, heat, and ripening fruit. If a bloom starts to droop, a fresh cut and clean water will often revive it. Cared for this way, your roses will look full and vibrant for about a week.
